SimCraft – A ChassisSim DIL Partner
September 25, 2024
ChassisSim is proud to have SimCraft as one of it’s DIL partners. What is particularly unique about SimCraft is their motion component.
When it comes to DIL Simulation rigs the motion component is always playing with fire. Invariably most motion queuing leaves a lot to be desired. Invariably the side effects are nausea and a complete disconnection between the visual inputs and what the driver is feeling.
SimCraft are one of the very few companies who have cracked this code. The reason is breathtakingly simple because the SimCraft cockpit moves like a car does – on independent degrees of freedom that intersect at the center of mass based on physics not on old wives tales. You combine this with the ChassisSim physics model it is a potent combination because the human brain accepts the motion feel due to it’s compliance with physics and how vehicles actually move.
“The first time I drove the SimCraft Rig I knew something was up, but when I drove it with the ChassisSim physics engine I was giggling like a 4 year old and uttering loud expletives of joy because I knew something very special was happening. The nail here is you have rocks in your head if you don’t check out the SimCraft DIL rig” – Danny Nowlan – Director ChassisSim Technologies
